Content: Otis Redding's Daughter Calls Jay-Z and Kanye "Young Legends"

'I just think the collaboration was certainly a tribute to him, and it's really great,' Karla Redding-Andrews says, speaking of Jay-Z and Kanye's new single "Otis."

"It really means a lot to me, particularly to a whole new generation of young legends, because that's what Jay-Z and Kanye are," Redding-Andrews said. "I just think it's wonderful to tie an old legendary artist whose music history will never die to something [that] they have come up with. I just think the collaboration was certainly a tribute to him, and it's really great."

Ultimately, "Otis" is exposing a new generation to Redding's music in a very hip and cool way. "With what we do with our foundation — pairing music with education, always involved with young people — how can I not be a fan of Kanye West and Jay-Z?" Redding-Andrews said.

Content: New Kanye/Jay Song "Otis" + Game's Jay-Z Diss "Uncle Otis"

Kanye & Jay-Z released their second single from the upcoming joint album Watch the Throne ("H.A.M." was the first), which is scheduled for an August 1st release date.

Game got the beat remade/recreated & rapped over it on "Uncle Otis," which disses Jay-Z, Big Sean, and more.

From HipHop DX:
In making "Uncle Otis," Game recognizes that he's falling back on his word to stop dropping verbal barbs at Marcy Projects' native son. "I contemplated, 'Damn, I went at Jay; I said I was off of that.' Fuck it. I'm me. I'm Game. I do what I do." He continued, "I just had fun, man. Anybody that want a problem, or wants to say somethin' on a record, you know it's gonna get a response, so watch yaself."

... Well alrighty then.

Content: Providence street Named After Singer Jeffrey Osborne

"Osborne, perhaps best known for his 1982 hit, "On the Wings of Love," posed Tuesday with a street sign that said Jeffrey Osborne Way. City workers have not yet had a chance to install the sign on the section of Olney Street between North Main and Hope that is getting the honorary name. Osborne spent some of his childhood in a house at Pratt and Olney that has since been torn down."

Content: Lloyd/Miguel Beef?

Lloyd's 4th album dropped Tuesday (7/5), so he went to BET's 106 & Park to promote and show love. But while he was there, he also debuted his new haircut! ... And Guns & Roses head tattoo. Interesante.

With this haircut though, he has a little bit of hair left on top... sorta reminiscent of young Miguel!

Miguel took to Twitter with this message:

Oh boy.

Lloyd's response in an interview with radio jock Devi Dev: "Did you see me respond?"... "That's peanuts to an elephant. I am not the one for a lot of talking so I will see him when I see him."

More details (like background info about his tattoo, if you're into that...) here.
